Key Issues: The committee is run using the Incorporated Model Rules and people wishing to become members are also asked to consider their suitability as office bearers and ordinary members to serve on the committee. The Youth Mentoring Projects being organised by the club need assistance in the form of major funding from government, business and private sources. The club has a very comprehensive 100 page guidline document prepared which will assist members to prepare for all types of funding excercises. The development of Pyrmont continues and thanks to forthright groups we can see the community finding space for a diverse number of community activities. Keeping the youth informed about this type of facility for their future is most important. Deductible Gift Recipient status will be made by the club to facilitate tax deductible benefits for donations. In order to do this the club will apply to the Register of Cultural Organisations and as required establish a seperate public fund account to receive donations and gifts from the public. The Public fund will be called Pyrmont Waterman Fund to raise funds for the cultural preservation of boating activity in the days of sail and oar.
